Error 'java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space' and P6 Web Components Shut Down (Doc ID 2214235.1)

Symptoms

A P6 managed server component unexpectedly shuts down and the following error occurs in the WebLogic managed server log file:

#### <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <> <> <>  java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space>

The issue is intermittent, and cannot be regularly reproduced.
