Goal
A confirmed opt in is the gold standard for email subscriber acquisition, and is the strong recommendation of the Deliverability Operations team. A confirm opt in occurs after an initial opt-in request or action (e.g., form submit) is made by the customer, triggering a follow-up confirmation email sent to notify the person that additional action is required before his or her email address will be added to the contact list.
