Goal

System is not allowing to end date the active version of accounting sequence as of 31-Dec-2016 as the Jan-17 period is opened and closed.
No journal is created in Jan-17 using this sequence.
how to end date this sequence as of 31-Dec-2016 and create a new version effective 01-Jan-17.
