"Assign Driver" Action Updates Previously Assigned Shipment's Start and End Time Creating Overlapping Shipment Times

Symptoms
When Users assign Drivers to Shipments of a given day manually (using Action Assign -> Driver, Show Options) and from "Show Options" select a Driver that has already been assigned a few shipments from the previous day. on Assign Shipment, previous day's Shipments assigned to the driver are re-driven and set to simultaneous Start time. Driver will have previous day's assignments reset in such way that there overlapping assignments with same start time.
