PACK ITEM AND TRANSACTIONS
We would like to know how the create item packs works and where it is used in the business. please provide us some example or the transaction flows which will help us to understand more about this option.
Note: we have product hub and inventory license and we know how to create pack items but don't know how and where to use this.
Our Question was related to unpacking the items ,
Scenario :
Setup : Create a PACK item . Inventory item=yes , stockable =yes , transactable =yes.
Assign the child items to PACK
Step1: Receive the PACK item
since PACK item will have a different item code , Stock of PACK item will be increased upon receipt , but stock of the child item will not be effected.
Step2: There will be no issues if the client wants to sell it as PACK only , but if the client wants to sell in loose then how we can unpack PACK item to get individual items technically in fusion . Means , Stock of PACK item will reduce and stock of child items will increase.
We would like to know the possibilities in oracle inventory on how to achieve .
Alternatively , we can create the MISC.ISSUE of PACK items and MISC.RECEIPT of child items , but this is not practical .
