Symptoms

Customer performed job for 'Reporting Hierarchy Generation' and it is erroring out.

<Error> <oracle.as.ess> <ESS-07004> <Execution error for request 95617. Reason: java.lang.NullPointerException>

Logfile: ess_server1.out

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Scheduled Processes -> Scheduled New Process->Type: Job-> Name: Reporting Hierarchy Generation -> press Ok
2. The process detail tab will open and press submit.
3. Error is thrown
