Unable To See Newly Created Lookup In Search (Doc ID 2324904.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add or change the lookup codes for a particular lookup type, the lookup type does not return in the search. However, if an attempt is made to add the lookup type to the list, it gives a unique constraint error. At that point it then displays the lookup type and the already assigned lookup codes to that type.

ERROR
ORA-00001 unique constraint violated



STEPS
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Go to Setup and Maintenance > Manage Lookups and search for the lookup code.
2. Add the lookup type that cannot be found.
3. Save and see the error.
4. Review the codes and see if they appear.
