User's Session Expires when User Performs Web Service 1.0 Calls to the CPQ Cloud Site

Symptoms

If a user performs a SOAP login call using Web Services 1.0 and makes calls to the same site using that session, their session timeout will not be extended. Even though the user's actions are logged and saved in the site, after the session timeout the following error is returned on any further calls:

Could not validate the sessionId. Please provide a valid session Id or try to login again.
