GL: How to Set Cube Alias to Segment Value Description Only ?

Goal
The customer is implementing Fusion Cloud R12. Currently there is the earlier release on premise of Hyperion, SCM, Finance where they are using BOM (Bill of material).
In essbase cube value description is going to alias of cube. Where oracle recommend that they should not have following:
1. Duplicate Value description in Segment as well as across the segment
2. Duplicate value across the segment
In this scenario they have the both case duplicate description as well as value with in the segment or across the segment and they are not able to change the naming convention due to business practice.
Due to reporting framework they wouldn't be able to adapt whole new description as lots of value have same description and end users are used to it.
In order to mitigate all future possible concern is required Oracle opinion on this scenario?
