Symptoms
When attempting to change the location of employee and send approval notification to an application role, the following error occurs:
Error in routing slip. The task is assigned to an invalid user weblogic in realm <DOMAIN_NAME>.com.
The routing slip is associated with the task definition
default/HcmEmploymentProcessesChngLocationComposite!30222114_25464292/ChangeLocationApproval.
Verify that the user is specified correctly in the routing slip in the task definition.
Steps taken to reproduce:
- My Client Groups > Workforce Structures > Approval Transactions
- Click Approval Rules
- Search for the rule Change Location
- Click the pencil icon under the Configure Rules column
- Notice that an HCM Application Role is used in the approval configuration
- My Client Groups > Quick Actions > Show More
- In the Employment section, click Change Location
- Search for and select employee
- Select an effective date for the location change, and click Continue
- Select a new location
- Click Submit
- Email received by task initiator indicating that the transaction failed with error
