Error: "The Document cannot be launched." When Attempting to Launch a Collaboration Document in P6 Professional (Doc ID 2368141.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to access or open a document in P6 Professional, the following error occurs:

The Document cannot be launched. Please check the P6 server configuration.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Professional, open a Project.
  2. Access the Activities tab.
  3. In the bottom view, choose WPs and Docs.
  4. View the attached document.
  5. Click Details > Launch.
  6. Observe the reported error.
