Symptoms
When attempting to run an OBIEE agent setup for Email delivery, the following error occurs:
ERROR

The Agent, $AgentName, has completed with warnings.
AgentID: $location_of_agent
...Trying tSMTP Delivery loop again... Sleeping for 4 seconds
[nQSError: 75027] Failed to open connection to SMTP Server (host ---; port 25).
...
Exceeded number of SMTP delivery retries.
The Agent, $AgentName, has failed
AgentID: /users/username/agentname
[nQSError: 75027] Failed to open connection to SMTP Server (host -- .net, port 25). AgentID: /users/username/agentname.
Trying SMTP Delivery loop again..Sleeping for 6 seconds. AgentID: /users/username/agentname.
STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Login to OBIEE
- Configure a user to receive Email:
- Click your username dropdown
- Click My Account
- Click Delivery Options
- Click Email in the Devices dropdown
- Click Create Device icon (+ under Devices)
- Enter:
- User defined name
- Category = Email
- Device type = Either HTML Email or Plaintext Email
- Address/Number = email address
- User defined name
- Click OK
- Click your username dropdown
- Click New > Agent
- On the General tab, leave defaults
- On the Schedule tab, leave defaults
- On the Condition tab, leave defaults
- On the Delivery Content tab:
- Enter anything in the subject field
- In the Content Field, select either Analysis or Dashboard page
- Browse to the object (either analysis or dashboard)
- Click any option in the Format dropdown
- Enter anything in the subject field
- On the Recipients tab select a recipient
- On the Destinations tab, click Specific Devices and choose Email checkbox
- On the Actions tab, leave defaults
- Click Save and choose a location/name to save the agent
- Click Run Agent Now to test the agent
- Note the error which occurs after a period of time while the agent runs.
