Convert And Retire As Buttons On Lead View (Doc ID 2374686.1)

Goal

I want to have the actions "Convert" and "Retire" visible on the lead view as buttons. I've looked into it, but could not seem to find an answer in the documentation.
I'm familiar with how to create buttons through "Actions and Links" in App Composer, but I'm not sure how to script the convert and retire logic. Can you please point me in the right direction?
