400 : error.common.common.addMustProvideValue : A value Must be Specified for a Value Add Operation

Symptoms
Groups synchronized from Active Directory to Identity cloud Service are missing some of the members present in Active Directory.
Looking at the IDBridge.log containing the bridge logs show the following error for group Group1:
2018-04-10 06:07:23,668 [167] ERROR IDBridge - 400 : error.common.common.addMustProvideValue : A value must be specified for a value add operation.
2018-04-10 06:07:23,668 [167] ERROR IDBridge - Failed to modify Group 'CN=Group1,OU=Groups,DC=example,DC=com'.
2018-04-10 06:07:23,668 [167] ERROR IDBridge - Failed to modify Group 'CN=Group1,OU=Groups,DC=example,DC=com'.
That error in itself does not tell us exactly what the problem is just that something is missing however if we look just before that error we will see the following error:
2018-04-10 06:07:22,982 [181] ERROR IDBridge - 400 : error.common.validation.missingReqAttributes : Missing required attribute(s): emails.
2018-04-10 06:07:22,982 [181] ERROR IDBridge - Failed to create/update User 'CN=user1,OU=Users,DC=example,DC=com'.
2018-04-10 06:07:22,982 [181] ERROR IDBridge - Failed to create/update User 'CN=user1,OU=Users,DC=example,DC=com'.
