XSL Error When Generating or Previewing a Doc Designer Template Containing an Embedded PDF [Validation of this XSL has failed] (Doc ID 2392995.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to preview or view a document designer template, which includes an embedded document (PDF),
the following error occurs.

XSL Transformer Exception occurred
javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: java.lang.RuntimeException: com.bm.xchange.exceptions.XslValidationException: Validation of this XSL has failed.

In the bm.log, the following can be found:

[ERROR] com.bm.xchange.util.XslValidationUtils.validateExtensionJavaClass(XslValidationUtils.java:79) - Invalid XML namespace: org.apache.xalan.lib.ExsltCommon

The Print log can contain the following error:
