Goal
Document Purpose:
This document will provide advice on how to prevent when a column is filtered to include or exclude specific value(s), this can cause NULL values to be automatically eliminated from the results.
Example:
The Country of Residence for specific candidates returns the following values:
- Canada
- China
- Romania
- United States
- NULL
If a filter is applied to exclude China:
This eliminates NULL because the SQL is checking for whether the value equals China in order to eliminate it from the results.
This requires a value to exist for the Country of Residence for that candidate record.
Results without Filters on the Country of Residence:
