Goal

This document will show how to use the new Release 13.18B feature of creating a function using value sets that replaces need for custom function sql code.

Sample Use Case :
User can create an expression to get the Participant's Detail attribute value.
However, currently, to use this expression, user will need to be associated a credit category to the performance measure.
This will cause unnecessary calculation processing time and increase measure results if the participant has a lot of transactions.
In order to improve performance, a custom function is recommend to get the participant's attribute value.
