In the REST Adapter wizard, the "Content-Length" request header cannot be selected because it is grayed out (Doc ID 2434020.1)

Symptoms

This knowledge article reflects updated product names. Oracle Integration Classic (OIC-C) was formerly known as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Integration (OIC) was formerly known as Autonomous Oracle Integration Cloud (AOIC, A-OIC, AIC, OAIC,OIC, OAC). Please see KM for the full list of recently renamed PaaS services.

In the REST Adapter wizard, the "Content-Length" request header is grayed out. The behavior can be reproduced as follows:

1. In Integration Cloud, create a REST Connection
2. In the Integration Designer, drag the REST connection onto an Integration. The Configure REST Endpoint Configuration wizard starts
3. In the Configure REST Endpoint Configuration, in Basic Info enter mandatory properties, and then select "Configure Request Headers" -> Standard. Click Next.
4. In Add Select Request Headers, click + and select the HTTP Header Name dropdown

It is not possible to choose the "Content-Length" request header because it is grayed out :
