Goal

Configure REST end point on API Gateway with 'Path' attribute set to a specific value

Customer deployed an API on Oracle API Gateway cloud service instance, this is the end point defined on OCSG, this will route the request to backend service (in our case it is an Oracle Integration cloud integration exposed as REST.

On using Postman as API service consumer, to invoke the endpoint API which is on OCSG, postman is receiving a cookie in response with path set to root ("/"). That is on a POST request to this end point, in the response can see a cookie with Path attribute is set to root ('/').

By default the cookie headers are not propagated through OCSG, unless the "EnableSouthCookie" is set to true., Then why is this cookie set?
