Data Limits Not Saving, Revert to Defaults After Refresh (Doc ID 2441175.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

In P6 Web, the Data limits are not saving when changed. When refreshing or re-opening the application settings tabs, it reverts to the default. This causes the inability to copy projects into the appropriate EPS and add additional WBS.

The P6WebAccess.html file shows the following error messaging:

Establish connection error. Pool=PML
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Connection reset
Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset
An attempt to notify clients of timestamp changes has failed.
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Socket read timed out
Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Socket read timed out


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

For the changes to save and copy/paste or WBS creation to function properly.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log in, go to Administration -> Application Settings
2. Make Changes and Save
3. Try to copy and paste a project or add a WBS, it freezes or takes too long
4. Open Administration -> Application settings again and see that it remains at default settings
5. Check log and see error

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot copy projects into the appropriate EPS and add additional WBS.
