OSN Notifications Are Getting Auto Enabled (Doc ID 2444515.1)

Symptoms

The Oracle Social Network (OSN) email notifications have been turned off in the past. However, the notifications are turned back on automatically without intervention from the OSN Administrator.

Steps:

  1. As a user with OSN Admin rights, login to Fusion Apps (FAPPS), open Social
  2. Select the "Administration" option from OSN menu
  3. Go to the "General" tab
  4. Under "Notifications", set "Email Notifications", "Apple Push Notifications", "Android Push Notifications" to "Disabled".
  5. Save - notice and test that this works
  6. After some time, maybe a day or two, check again. Notice that the notifications are back at "Enabled"
