P6 Professional Installation via Clickonce Fails with an Error (Doc ID 2445810.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to install P6 Professional via Clickonce, one of the following (or similar) errors occur in the ERROR DETAILS section of the log file:

 

The issue can be reproduced at will using the following steps.

  1. Access the P6 Cloud portal home page and click the Install P6 Professional link.
  2. Download and run setup.exe.
  3. The progress bar reaches 100% then fails with an error.
  4. Click Details to view the reported error in the log.
