Goal

 How to test connectivity to OCI FSS (File Storage Service)

 

Note: When trying to ping OCI FSS IP, it's expected "Destination Host Prohibited" messages, because all ports except 2 are filtered

$ ping -c3 <PRIVATE_IP>
PING <PRIVATE_IP><private_ip> (<PRIVATE_IP><private_ip>) 56(84) bytes of data.
From <PRIVATE_IP><private_ip> icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Prohibited
From <PRIVATE_IP><private_ip> icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Prohibited
From <PRIVATE_IP> icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Prohibited

--- <private_ip> ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 0 received, +3 errors, 100% packet loss, time 2000ms
