Error While Regenerating Artifacts In OIC - A Connection To The Server Has Failed. (status=504)

Information in this document applies to any platform.
An integration in OIC using PaaS DB and HCM adapter was implemented, and activated and tested successfully.
After that if the PaaS table is altered and an attempt made to try and regenerate the integration artifacts, the OIC integration page goes into an indefinite loop process, and the below error is seen.
Last week, before OIC restarted it was working fine with regenerate artifacts but now it is not working.
