Fusion HCM: SSN Added to Contact Does Not Show

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
SSN added via Manage Person > Contacts does not update a contact's SSN
We add a SSN for a contact when going to Manage Person > Contacts for the employee, and added the contact's TIN. The SSN does not get saved to the contact's record.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Contact's SSN should show in UI when searching for the contact.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Go to Manage Person > Contacts
Add SSN for a contact in TIN field
Click ok.
Now submit record.
Now search for this contact in Person Management.
The search results retrieve the contact, but nothing is in the National Identifier column
