In Oracle Blockchain Platform Cloud Is It Possible To Remove Extra "\" Backslash Character In REST Response? (Doc ID 2463018.1)

Last updated on APRIL 22, 2019

Applies to:

Blockchain Platform Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This knowledge article reflects updated product names. Oracle Blockchain Platform Cloud Service (OBPCS) was formerly known as Autonomous Blockchain Cloud Service (ABCS). Please refer to "Name Change for PaaS services during Jan 2019 " for the full list of recently renamed PaaS services.

When running the Query functionality from Postman, connecting to a chaincode deployed received the below response.

{

"returnCode":"Success",

"result":

{"payload":"{\"docType\":\"vehicle\",\"chassisNumber\":\"j0000001\",\"manufacturer\":\"blc0001\",\"model\":\"blc001\",\"assemblyDate\":1535108384112,\"airbagSerialNumber\":\"air0001\",\"owner\":\"participant1\",\"recall\":false,\"recallDate\":0}","encode":"UTF-8"}

}

Is this content in Payload the normal behaviour? Should the data sent not be in normal json format with out the ":\" notation?

Can this be avoided as unnecessary code needs to be written while consuming this response?

Is it possible to remove extra ":\" backslash character in rest response?
