Goal

A fast formula needs to be used in eligibility profiles for progression grade ladder step rules. This formula is supposed to look at the date that someone entered the grade step they are currently in and once they have been in that step for 6 months, they are eligible to move into the next step. We tested this formula in a test progression grade ladder containing one grade with 4 steps.

After hiring an employee as of 2/5/2018 (over 6 months ago) and then ran the 'Run Grade Step Progression' process. After running the process, Review Proposed Progressions and Salary Updates task to approve the progression and there was an error saying the employee was not eligible for the next step in the grade ladder. The formula appears to be correct.

The formula uses the PER_ASG_STEP_ENTRY_DATE DBI.
