Symptoms

When attempting to run a report from BI Publisher, the following error occurs.

ERROR

The report cannot be rendered because of an error, please contact the Administrator.
Error Detail: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: oracle.xdo.servlet.CreateException: Data Model definition not found:/<path>/<file>.xdm

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Sign in to BI Publisher
  2. Run a report
  3. Error displayed
