[OMC] : Issues Due To Unsupported Language Setting (Doc ID 2497721.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2023

Applies to:

OMC Application Performance Monitoring Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If any unsupported Language is selected in Browser, some of the functionality in OMC does not work as expected.

This issue is specific to unsupported locales only like Spanish, German,  Portuguese and we are not yet formally supporting these locales/languages in OMC at this time.

(1) Edit alert rule issue:

Created an Alert Rule for Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Service and added few Entities in that Alert Rule. Editing the Alert Rule do not show any Entities listed under "Entities" section.

a) APM Alert Rule is created with 3 Entities added into it.

b) Editing the Alert Rule do not show any entities listed under "Entities" section.

(2) Licensing UI display issue:

Administration --> Entities Configuration --> Licensing --> Click on the number of entities under "Standard" or "Enterprise" edition and it never shows the entities details but it keep-on searching (spinning) for those entities.

(3) Misleading Delete Action with no error message:

when trying to delete the entities does not perform any operation and the entity is not deleted.

Here is the screen which reported the entities for deletion.

This is the confirmations message received when trying to delete 1 entity.

The host was already removed and agent is no more present, so trying to remove the left over entities listed in UI. The delete operation does not succeed but will not throw any error even.

(4) Issues with Orchestration Workflows :

Failed "Execution ID" does not result details instead it shows "Please ensure submission ID is correct and try again".

(5) Log Analytics Dashboard Display shows same error percentages in each of the RAC node instance servers (node 1 and node 2):

Drilling down on the pie charts allows a view of the errors logged by the individual instance, but this does not agree with the data shown in the summary view:

For node 1:

For node 2:
