Symptoms

When attempting to authenticate in P6 Professional using SAML,in an Oracle Cloud Hosting Environment, the following error is observed:

"Unable to connect to the database. Please run the Database Configuration tool or contact your administrator"

The following was observed in the Cloud Connect logs:
java.lang.Exception: No username headerkey found while authentication mode was SAML/SSO
  at com.primavera.client.CloudClientServlet.doPost(CloudClientServlet.java:111)
  at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:707)
  at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:790)
  at weblogic.servlet.internal.StubSecurityHelper$ServletServiceAction.run(StubSecurityHelper.java:286)
  at weblogic.servlet.internal.StubSecurityHelper$ServletServiceAction.run(StubSecurityHelper.java:260)

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. Login to P6 Professional for CloudConnect, configured for SAML/SSO
  2. Observe error
