AD Bridge Import Does Not Show Details About Failures (Doc ID 2508236.1)

Last updated on JULY 25, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : N/A version, Identity Bridge

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
AD Bridge Import does not show details about Failures

When an import completes, it reports on the number of users and groups that were imported and also the number of failures, but there is no link or data presented with exceptions or log entries or DNs listed to indicate which X failures there were, to aid in administrative investigation of the failures.

DESIRED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
For example, in OIM if a job has some exception, a history is maintained and one can click a button to see the exception. It would be nice for IDCS to maintain a history and information on the import failures in the UI in order to assist in followup by the IDCS or AD Admins on any issues.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Have the AD Bridge set up and working fine.
2. Have some issue to induce some failures importing some users
3. Run the bridge Import
4. See the Import completes and reports a few failures
5. But there is no means to easily obtain details on those failures in the UI
