Error: "Project Was Deleted by Another User" When Attempting to Copy Paste a Schedule in P6 Professional

Symptoms
When attempting to copy/paste a schedule, the following error occurs:
ERROR
Project XXXXXX was deleted by another user
Calendar XXXXXX was deleted by another user
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to P6 Professional.
2. Right-click on project, select copy, then paste.
3. Click through the options in order to make a complete copy of the current schedule, but skip the baselines.
4. Notice error reported.
