Not Able To Update Order In PENDING_APPROVAL (B2B) Using updateOrder Endpoint (Doc ID 2515795.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to update/amend a B2B order pending approval (for example its cart quantities and shipping address) using the Store API updateOrder (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/commerce-cloud/cxocc/op-ccstore-v1-orders-id-put.html) endpoint fails in Storefront with the following error:
