Enterprise Onboarding Emails

User receiving an email each time an activity is assign from a checklist and need to turn them off.

In the notifications section of the activity, they added the notification "when the task is assigned" and left the two check boxes blank indicating that a notification should not be sent. Still, an email is sent.

Please advise how to turn the emails off when an activity from a checklist is assigned?
