Fusion Applications - Global Payroll - Payment Method Preferences Setting Changes Doesn't Reflect In ESS Personal Payment Method Creation (Doc ID 2568516.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Global Payroll Cloud Service - Version 11.13.19.04.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Payment method preferences to restrict 'Check' payment type and also the number of payment methods by an employee using self service is not working when the employee navigates using Me > Personal Information > Payroll.

When the employee clicks the Manage button, it opens the personal payment method page wherein the employee can edit the payment method created already or they can click the 'Add' button to create a new payment method.
When 'Add' button is selected to create a new payment method, the payment type drop down in this page shows the 'Check' option too as the payment method preference is set to allow/show only Direct Deposit for ESS personal payment method creation.

When the employee uses the navigation Me > Pay > payment methods to create a personal payment method, the payment type drop down shows only 'Direct Deposit' option correctly as expected. Would like to know why it is not restricting when the employee uses the other navigation (Me > Personal Information > Payroll) to create the payment method.

In summary, the issue is because the options set in Manage payment method preferences works when an employee tries to create the personal payment method using the navigation -> Me > Pay > Payment Methods but it doesn’t work when the employee uses the navigation -> Me > Personal Information > Payroll > Manage.
