OIC SOAP Adapter With RPC Binding Throws Error - SOAPADAPTR-20028 : Cause - RPC style binding is not supported. (Doc ID 2573238.1)

Last updated on JUNE 07, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Integration-OIC - Version 18.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When attempting to configure an integration with Sage X3 instance using the SOAP adapter, the below error is seen:

ERROR:

SOAPADAPTR-20028 : Cause - RPC style binding is not supported.

Action - Cancel this connection and check the WSDL in use.

The adapter supports definitions with ports having only document-style binding.

Is it true that the OIC SOAP adapter lacks support for SOAP services that use an RPC binding?

If so, what is the recommendation for integrating with this service given that the SAGE web service binding cannot be changed?
