User needs a ability to create a pick wave without allocating a lot number User have put in a status control on the subinventory to not allow reservations. With that setup once we release a pick wave customer is not seeing any reservations by the sales order on the manage reservations and Picks window. But it is allocating a lot # in the background. The issue with that is if the user selects a different lot at pick confirm it is not allowing it to substitute if there are inventory restrictions. For e. Pick wave reserves another lot for order B and there is no additional inventory and the user now wants to allocate the lot assigned to order B to another order.Confirm pick slip UI functionality to allows the users to override the suggested values for subinventory, locator, lot, and serials is not an option in this case as the lot they want to allocate is already assigned to another order.

Business requirement is to have user select the lot number ONLY at pick confirm. Without it this business process is not efficient they are not able to ship out the correct inventory.

Workaround suggested was :

Create detailed level reservations (subinventory/locator/lot level) for the order lines using Manage Reservations and Picks>Create Reservations UI. These reservations have to be created before the step of creating a pick wave.
Once the detailed reservations are in place, creation of pick wave will just honor those reservations and the pick slip will accurately reflect the lots that were selected by the users on the reservations. At this point, users can just select all the picks on the confirm pick slip UI and perform the confirm action directly with no changes at all.

But customer said this will not work because we are using the suggestions given by cloud WMS on the lot suggestion when the pick slip program is executed in cloud WMS.
