Goal

On : 11.13.19.07.0 version, Cost Management

As per new 19B Maintenance Cloud functionality, an asset that is operational in an Organization can be maintained across different Maintenance Organization, but how the Accounting can be driven by the asset operational organization and not the organization that is executing the maintenance, because as per business requirement even the maintenance is being executed in one organization, it should be accounted to the organization that owns the asset.

As the example from the attachment document from the Readiness Training "For example, a customer may have a truck delivery business that operates between states in a region. Typically the trucks stay within their Operating Organization delivery area, providing the ability to support their regularly scheduled preventative maintenance using a Maintenance Program and ad-hoc break fix Work Orders. However, sometimes the trucks need to support deliveries across delivery areas for a period of time. Therefore, they may experience maintenance issues which will require break-fix maintenance. By defining Maintenance Organization relationships, these Asset may now be maintained across Organizations, providing customers to ability to extend the capabilities of their Assets to operate outside of their primary Operating Organization."

Looking into mapping sets possible input sources and can't see anything that could drive this Cost Scenario, nor any other place on the costing configuration.

USE Case:

Asset 'A1 ' is under Primary to Operating Organization - XYZ001.
  Maintenance Organizations Relations - 'XYZ001' and 'ABC001'

Maintenance Work Order created and Executed in 'ABC001' which is NOT asset owning Operating Organization
Cost accounting Distribution created for this WO successfully in 'ABC001'. All the transaction related to this WO also fully accounted in the Org ABC001 where WO was created.
But, though the Asset belongs to the Operating Org 'XYZ001' no transaction or accounting event generated.
Business is expecting Accounting event need also to be generated for Operating Organization where the Asset belongs through Maintenance WO is executed in different Org.
