Deploy to Essbase Fail After Manually Deleting and Creating a New Application (Doc ID 2612527.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 02, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service - Version 19.09.70 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After manually deleting existing application in the PCMCS User Interface, and  creating a very simple new application, deploy to Essbase is failing.

The following  error message occurs when attempting to deploy the app saying the " Multiple Point of View dimensions share the same Point of View dimension order. Application did not pass validation.".   Application has 1 POV dimension and 1 business dimension.

After deleting an app and going back in to manual create a new app, not everything associated with the original application is removed. There is still see information in data management. They end up with error messages similar to the effect that they have exceeded the max number of dimensions, meanwhile they have visibly not created more than the limit. They are expecting all of this  to wipe clean with the delete.

Changes

Manually deleted the existing application and then attempted to create a brand new application.  New application does not have the same dimensionality as the deleted application.
