Information in this document applies to any platform.
An employee merge import intended to create a new employee fails with the following error in the results file:
"6"|"100004"|"error"|"employee.create"||"The ""User Name"" you entered already exists.;The value you provided in User Name is already used. You must provide a unique value.;"
Note: The presence of the existing user name in the zone was already known. The intention was for the new employee record to use the existing user account rather than attempt to create a new one.
NOTE: This KM document applies to an error involving employee merge, where the intent is to create a new employee that is linked to an existing user account (as opposed to creating a new user account for linking to the employee record).
