Symptoms

When attempting to add value to value set <VALUE SET>, the following error occurs:

Error
The value set <VALUE SET>  cannot be assigned to this segment <SEGMENT NAME> (FND-2654).
In application 140, key flexfield CAT# and structure <STRUCTURE NAME>, default value set  cannot be assigned
to segment <SEGMENT NAME> which uses <COLUMN NAME>. The assigned value set must have a data type that is compatible with the
column data type and its maximum length must be no longer than the column length.
