The former name ‘ExaCS’ is now ‘Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure’ with the abbreviated version now being ExaDB-D.
Purpose
Services based on Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure ExaDB-D (formerly known as EXACS) releases in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) will generally track the de-support dates of the same releases on-premises, unless noted otherwise. Use the table below to plan your implementations and upgrades accordingly. Once a release is not supported, no more patches (including security patches) will be generated for it, and new instance provisioning will be disabled.
Scope
This document is for database/cloud administrators and other staff who need to plan data management service upgrades and implementations, or software vendors who must plan on availability of particular ExaDB-D releases in the Oracle Cloud.
