FBDI: Revision Inconsistency Between Item Import And Change Line Items (Doc ID 2652586.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 15, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Product Development Cloud Service - Version 11.13.19.10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to import change order lines, the following issue occurs:

Issue: the template only allows 3 characters for new revision value. This is out of sync with the revision column in the EGP_ITEM_REVISIONS_B which is 18 characters long

-- Expected Behavior: user expects that both new revision column and the new_item_revision columns are both 18 characters long

 -- Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps.
1. open EGO_CHANGE_LINES_INT (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/supply-chain-and-manufacturing/19d/oedsc/product-and-catalog-management.html#egochangelinesint-19316)
2. Observe that the item_revision and new_item_revision are different character lengths

-- Business Impact
Users cannot tie back-dated revisions to change orders
