OAC : JDBC (Direct Driver) Selection Unavailable On In The RPD Error Out "[nQSError: 100017] Failed to connect to the java datasource server" (Doc ID 2657076.1)

Symptoms

You are trying to connect to the on-premise database from OAC BI through Remote Data Gateway.

 

You have observed the following error, while "Load Java Datasources..."  in the Administration  Tool

on the file <Client Oracle Home>\domains\bi\servers\obis1\logs\XXXX_NQSAdminTool.log

 [nQSError: 100017] Failed to connect to the java datasource server: http://localhost:portnumber/obiee/javads

 

Also, JDBC call interface is not available

 Administration  Tool > Physical Layer  > Database > connection pool >properties > Call Interface  type JDBC (Direct Driver) not appearing
