Symptoms

ISSUE:

System throw error while adding new work definition with partial item search.

ERROR
-----------------------
java.lang.illegalArgumentException


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Open Supply Chain Execution>Work Definition>Task: Manage work definition
2. Click Add and select option New work definition
3. Click on item field and populate partial item number and hit search
4. Note that system throws error- java.lang.illegalArgumentException
5. Later even if full item number is populated system throws invalid item error
