Symptoms
OCI DBS VM hits "DeleteDbHome is not allowed for dbSystems with VM shapes at this time" when trying to terminate the DB System from Database Details page instead of DB System Detail page with Database name instead of DB System name
Changes
You are trying to terminate the DB System from Database Details page not DB System Details and provide database name instead of DB System name
Goto
> OCI console, Navigate to drop down menu (top left side of the screen)
> Bare Metal, VM, and Exadata
> Click on your DB System name
> Scroll down and click Database under Resources
> Click on database name
> More Actions
> Terminate
> Enter database name instead of DB System name
Error: DeleteDbHome is not allowed for dbSystems with VM shapes at this time
Goto
> OCI console, Navigate to drop down menu (top left side of the screen)
> Bare Metal, VM, and Exadata
> Click on your DB System name
> Scroll down and click Database under Resources
> Click on database name

> Terminate
> Enter database name instead of DB System name
