Purpose
BULK API authentication support for the callbackURL attribute.
Scope
This document refers to Eloqua the BULK API Create an import or export sync endpoint and the authentication type supported by the callbackUrl attribute. It is a reference for developers trying to integrate their applications with Eloqua.
OAuth Authentication should be used instead of Basic Authentication for using the callbackUrl attribute. OAuth enables the safe retrieval of secure resources while protecting user credentials.
The HTTP Basic Authentication uses the users' credentials for generating a token. It is similar to logging in the application using the UI/interface.
