Late Charges Report Inconsistency - Days Late is less than expected (Doc ID 2675226.1)

Users are expecting the Days Late on this report to be the difference between the due date and the date the report was run, but often the Days Late reflects much less, and there seems to be nothing to tell us why. What is happening?

 For example:

On April 23, the "Create Late Charges Batch" process was generate. Generated the report "Late Charges Report". Today (4/30/2020) the same report was generate again and validating the information, inconsistencies are observed regarding the days in arrears for various transactions.

For example, for the transaction "SEP.10004.4" on April 23, the days late were 10 and today's report records that they are 2.
Why was this inconsistency generated? How can it be solved?
