Error : "EPMAT-7:Unable to delete password file: prefs." when running EPM Automate jobs

Symptoms
When scheduling EPM Automate jobs, the job may fail to run intermittently. The job schedule may fail with any of the jobs scheduled using EPM Automate randomly.
The logs will show the error "EPMAT-7:Unable to delete password file: prefs". There could be different errors also may occur. What could be the cause of this issue?
Changes
There are multiple batch files were created that includes the EPM Automate commands for different jobs that runs in parallel. The login credentials are stored in a file and it is encrypted. All those batch files placed in a single folder.
The batch files are scheduled using any third party scheduler (For example $U Scheduler). Users will schedule the jobs in the scheduler any specific time. Sometimes the jobs will run complete. Intermittently the jobs will fail to run.
