Unable To Access Storefront From Iphone With Basic Authentication (Doc ID 2677695.1)

Symptoms

Storefront is not accessible on iPhone devices.

Error seen " Internal Server Error" after entering required basic authentication.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Try to access the storefront from an iphone
  2. It will require basic authentication
  3. After authenticated get a screen with the message "Internal server error"
